The Prince of Thistlevale

Deep within the United States, hidden far beyond ordinary roads and human settlements, lies Thistlevale—one of the Seven Animal Kingdoms scattered across the country.

Each kingdom has its own rulers, customs, creatures, and magic, but Thistlevale is known for something especially enchanting: grand animal cottages, overflowing gardens, winding woodland paths, and a royal fox family that has watched over the kingdom for generations.

At the heart of Thistlevale lives a young white fox named Prince Roman.

Roman is loved throughout the kingdom for his gentle nature, quiet confidence, and unusual gift for making even the smallest creature feel important. Wherever the Prince travels, flowers are left at his door, animals gather to greet him, and invitations arrive from cottages tucked into every corner of the woodland.

Unfortunately, not everyone is impressed.

Hidden among the flowers, moss, and tangled vines lives a tiny band of mischievous fairies who have made it their personal mission to keep Thistlevale from becoming too peaceful.

They hide teacups, switch cottage signs, move garden tools, sprinkle mushrooms in the most inconvenient places, and occasionally convince the chickens that they are in charge of the royal grounds.

But one little fairy causes more trouble than all the others combined.

With enormous curious eyes and an even bigger personality, she has spent years watching Prince Roman receive admiration everywhere he goes.

And she is terribly envious of him.

Why should he have the beautiful chair?

Why should he receive the flowers?

Why should every creature stop what they are doing whenever Prince Roman enters the room?

Surely, she believes, Thistlevale would be far more interesting if everyone paid a little more attention to her.

So she began playing tricks on the Prince.

She hides his crown.

Moves his belongings.

Whispers ridiculous rumors to the tree squirrels, knowing perfectly well they will have the story carried from branch to branch before sunset.

And whenever Roman settles peacefully into his favorite chair, there is a very good chance she is somewhere nearby planning her next bit of mischief.

Prince Roman, however, rarely becomes angry.

In fact, he has begun to suspect that beneath all her jealousy and troublemaking, the little fairy simply wants something she has never quite figured out how to ask for—

a place where she feels important, too.

Of course, she would never admit that.

For now, she would much rather steal the Prince’s crown, blame it on a squirrel, and disappear into the flowers before anyone can catch her.
